Spookley the Square Pumpkin

We read The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin by Joe Troiano.  We talked about the characters and the setting.  Then we discussed the problem and the solution.  Story mapping is a skill that we will be working on all year as we develop important comprehension skills.  

The children worked together to create posters showing the different parts of the story.

It took a lot of cooperation and discussion to make our posters.  Each group shared their poster when we were done.
